1979 Mercedes-Benz 450sel 6.9

Outstanding Euro Version

FULL SERVICE HISTORY

This particular example of the flagship of Mercedes-Benz range of vehicles from the late 1970s may be one of the best in existence. Finished in Antracite Metallic (DB 172), with perfect matching Anthracite Velour Upholstery, this car represents all of the technology, speed, comfort, and safety that the automotive world had at its disposal at the time. The car has had two owners who maintained the vehicle well beyond the standards laid out by the manufacturer. Having spent the vast majority of its life in the Dallas area, the car is totally rust-free. All chrome and bright work are as new. The condition of the interior is the equal of the exterior. The velour upolstery as well as the original black Feintuftvelour carpeting is nothing short of perfect. All Burlwood trim was professionally restored by Heritage Woodworks and is in outstanding show condition.

From a mechanical standpoint, this car operates as it did when new. The 6.9 liter powerplant provides superb acceleration and high speed cruising. The transmission and hydropneumatic suspension are perfect. There are no leaks of any kind. Naturally, the autmoatic climate control operates as designed with excellent heating in winter and extremely cold air conditioning in the summer months.

Put very simply, this vehicle has experienced twenty-seven years of excellent preventive maintenance and it shows in its current condition. Full service records and receipts accompany the car.
